International Workshop on Intelligent Systems and Applications (ISA 2009) was organized by Scholl of Computer of Huei Univebrsity of Technology, and supported by Huazhong Universiy of Science and Technology, Huazhong Normal University,Wuhan University and YOCSEF·Wuhan. ISA 2009 will be convened in the magnificent cultural city - Wuhan, China. ISA 2009 will bring experts from several continents to give presentations, exchange information and learn about the latest developments in the field of intelligent system and their applications. Proceedings ISA 2009 will be published by IEEE Press. All papers accepted will be indexed by EI Compendex. The best papers presented at the conference will be selected for publications in some International Journals which are indexed by SCI or EI.

PAPER SUBMISSION

Prospective authors are encouraged to submit a full paper for review by 30, Dec. 2008, in PDF or Word format. Papers will be accepted based on peer review and should contain original, high quality work. Claims and results should be substantive enough to be further developed as quality work. All papers must be written in English. Submit a standard paper should not succeed 5 pages (two columns IEEE format), including figures and references with 10-12 point font. Helpful information for paper formatting can be found on the IEEE Authors Tools. The submission process is carried through the Conference Management System or E-mail: isahut2009@yahoo.cn. All accepted papers will be presented in oral sessions or poster sessions.

ABOUT WUHAN

Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province, is China's important industrial base,covering an area of 8,400 square kilometers, and with a population of 6.8 million.Wuhan City is located in a flat and low-lying land of an alluvial plain, and crisscross with rivers and streams along with numerous lakes and ports. Wuhan is at the confluence of the Yangtze River and the Hanshui River. It has the sub-tropical climate with an annual average temperature of 16.3 degree Celsius, rainfall of 1,260 millimeters, and a frost-free period of 253 days. It abounds in agricultural and aquatic resources. Its minerals include coal, iron, limestone, copper, phosphorus and asbestos.Iron and steel, machinery and textiles are Wuhan's three major prop-ups in industry. Its foodstuff, chemical and papermaking industries hold an important position in China. Wuhan has a well-developed agriculture, and abounds in cotton, rape seeds, sesame seeds, peanuts, lotus roots, poultry, eggs etc. and is listed as a key base for production of commodity grains and freshwater fish. Wuhan, consisting of Wuchang, Hankou and Hanyang, is situated at the confluence of the Yangtze River and Hanshui River in the middle reaches of the Yangtze. It's China's important land and water communication hub, and also has very convenient highway and air transport. China Wuhan is a China's inland key commercial center and the place of concentration and distribution for goods and materials, and Hankou in particular, is renowned for its flourishing commerce.It's also a famous Chinese historical and cultural city. There are quite a lot beautiful mountains, rivers and lakes. Its best-known sceneries include East Lake scenic area, yellow Crane Tower and Shengxiang Pagoda etc.Wuhan has embarked on the road of building itself into the largest Chinese inland economic, financial and trade center, a key industrial and commercial port linking China's inland markets with the economic sphere of South-East Asia, North-East Asia and Middle Asia, and world markets, as well as an international metropolis.
